SEPT UPDATE JANUARY, 2019 PHILIPPINE MEDICAL MISSION

September 28th, 2018

Hello Everyone

Since our last Philippines Mission update, we with the guidance of the Holy Spirit have been able to finalize the schedule for our 13th Medical Mission to the Philippines in January 2019.

In all cases we want to be responsive to the last words of Christ in Acts 1:8 “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

We have updated the information on our Christian Love Gifts web page, http://www.christianlovegifts.net, and our YouTube video “Serving The Lord in the Philippines, 2019 to reflect the latest information. Please visit these sites when you have an opportunity.

Medical Mission locations

We will be departing for the Philippines on January 17 and the team returns to United States on February 3, 2019.

We will be conducting Medical Missions in the Tarlac, Abra and Quezon Provinces on the island of Luzon and in the General Santos region of Mindanao.

Last year, we conducted two medical missions in the Abra Province. Christianity has made little progress in this province. However last year, the Mayor of the Abra province was impressed with the positive medical results for his people in one of his barangays. He gave us permission to return this year to any of his 26 barangays. (villages). We would like to follow up on his offer in order to continue to seek and save the Lost in Abra.

Off to Sunday Worship Service

We will reach out to the lost in the mountain areas in Quezon Province, Luzon. Our mission team will travel to the end of the Quezon Province mountain road which ends at Citio Pangutloan, and will conduct medical missions in that area. The mountain people will have to hike down for a day to our location for medical treatment. True Vine pastors have already been evangelizing in the Quezon mountains. Many have accepted Christ. Our calling in Quezon is to support Pastor Solomon’s evangelistic efforts to win souls for Christ. We would hope to be able to utilize donated funds in the near future to enable Solomon’s Quezon team to utilize horses to carry the necessary building materials to the Quezon mountain tops to enable the construction of three new born again church structures. The following photo shows the native people from the Dumagat Tribe that will have to walk for a day to get to where our Medical Mission will be conducted.

Several years ago, Pastor Solomon’s True Vine Pastors were able to plant a few born again churches on the southern coast of Mindanao west of General Santos City. As the power and influence of Islam grew on the Island of Mindanao most of these churches have fallen away. The current Philippine President has been establishing armed control as well as law and order over the radical Islam elements in Mindanao to the extent that it is now safe for Christians to openly worship west of General Santos City. Pastor Solomon’s daughter Mona will lead an evangelist True Vine team to southern Mindanao in November to revitalize the youth for Christ. Our plan is to conduct Medical Missions in the same area to win souls for Christ and to revive the body of Christ west of General Santos. In the future, we would hope to utilize donated funds for the materials to complete the planting of a new church in this area.

Team Members

We are currently looking for individuals that have a passion to serve the Lord on Mission to join our January, 2019 Philippine Medical Mission. We would like to invite anyone that is either interested in supporting our Philippine Ministry or has a calling to join our medical mission team to a Philippine Mission Briefing that Bill and Vail will be giving on October 7, 1 PM at the Calvary Oxnard Church.

The main requirement to be a mission team member is to have a strong faith in the Lord and a calling to serve the Lord on mission. No medical background is required. We will train you on the other team duties.

The October 7 briefing will include a question, answer session so this briefing will give all attendees an opportunity to find out what it is like to serve the Lord on mission.

We are looking forward to meeting with you all on October 7th.

Donations

We are still in need of donations in support of our January, 2019 Philippine Medical Mission.

We are now raising funds for the medical and support supplies for our January, 2019 Philippine Medical Mission. To donate you can either mail a check made out to our 501 c(3) non profit, Christian Love Gifts to 5106 Via Cupertino, Camarillo, Ca. 93012 or donate online on the donation tab of our Christian Love Gifts web page,   http://www.christianlovegifts.net. All donations are tax deductible.

We are also praying that the Lord will touch the hearts of several individuals that desire to serve the Lord as members of our Philippine Mission Team.  Bill and Vail as well as all team members pay their way for each medical mission. The costs this year will be $2,750. By paying for our medical mission travel and lodging, we insure that all donated funds to Christian Love Gifts are utilized for the Work of the Lord in the Philippines.

This will be our 13th year to return to the Philippines to serve the Lord as missionaries. Each of our previous mission trips have brought great joy to our team members. With the assistance of the Lord, during each medical mission, we provide medical and dental treatment for approximately 2000 poor and needy individuals and have been blessed to witness 500 to 800 people accept Christ as their Lord and Savior.

It is an awesome experience to serve the Lord on Mission.

We thank you for your past and ongoing financial and prayer support of our work to serve the Lord in the Philippines.

God Bless

Bill and Vail
